They live peacefully as David and Eli Doe in an ordinary home and go to an ordinary school, with Ocelot and EVA popping in occasionally (they're still on good terms with BB at this time), Solidus AKA George as a big brother, Frank Jaeger, the future Grey Fox, as an old friend of their dad, and a certain character from MGSV as their uncle (you know who I mean), as well as their neighbor Huey Emmerich and his son Hal. Basically, the premise is that Boss recovered Liquid in 1984 after some MGSV spoilers and got Solid from wherever Cipher had him stashed away, and wiped their memories.
